How to get Latex-looking documents in Microsoft Word

 


One issue everyone has with the Microsoft Equation Editor is the limited ability to change the font typeface. The default that comes with Word, Cambria Math, is nice but doesn’t suit everyone’s needs, especially if you are working on a manuscript for an academic purpose whether it is a conference paper, a journal paper or a thesis.

There best font compatible with the Word's equation editor in Office 2007 and above that makes the document look like a Latex render is Latin Modern. There is a math font (download here) and a whole family of text fonts (download here).
